Chicken Dinner

Chicken Fingers

0

Just like most moms, I am always looking for creative ways to feed my little picky eater healthy meals. Since he loves chicken fingers or chicken nuggets, I came up with an easy, yet healthy recipe. Let’s face it, most pre-made chicken nuggets we buy from the freezer section are fried, full or fat and sodium, and have very little nutrition value. I agree however that they are very easy to make, just pop them in the oven or microwave and 15 minutes later , you got chicken nuggets. But for the same amount of time you can make a much better and healthier meal. Just follow the recipe.

Prep Time:   3-5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minute

Ingredients

1 Chicken Fingers Cut into 4 long and skinny pieces

2

Salt, Pepper,
Ground Ginger
Garlic Powder
Italian Herbs
Plain Bread Crumbs*
(* you can use Italian seasoned bread crumbs
if you don’t feel like using the other spices,
you still have to season your chicken with
salt and pepper prior to coating it with
seasoned bread crumbs)

Directions

3 Pre-heat you skillet on low-medium heat

4 Season the Chicken fingers with all spices starting with salt and pepper

5

Then coat them with bread crumbs

6

Grill on the pan for 5-6 minutes
or until the sides are starting to turn white

7

Turn the chicken fingers to the other side
for another 4-5 minutes

8

Serve warm with ketchup

For Adults, I’d serve it with Dijon Mustard

9

Just for fun, I like to draw a happy face with ketchup
and use the chicken fingers for hair. My son loves it
and eats his healthy chicken fingers with a smile
