Chocolate Turnovers

0

You won’t believe how easy it is to make chocolate turnovers. All you need is some puff pastry chocolate, and a beaten egg. Chocolate turnovers are much like chocolate croissants.  The only difference is the shape or the way your roll the pastry. I chose the turnovers this time because it very easy and quick to make especially if you buy the puff pastry already cut in squares.

If you buy a roll of puff pastry then just allow it to defrost for 30 before cutting into equal size squares. In this recipe I am using 5*5 inch puff pastry squares.

I hope  you get to try this recipe and enjoy it!

Prep time: 5  minutes

Cook time: 20 minutes

Yields: 8

Ingredients:

1 8 Squares of  5*5 Puff Pastry

4 Ounces of Chocolate

1 Beaten Egg

1/4 Cup of Iced water

Directions:

3

Roll up 1 square of the pastry at the time and place 1/2 ounce of chocolate in the center of the pastry.  Dip your finger in the iced water and go over the edge of the pastry.  This will help seal the pastry.

4

Fold the pastry over the chocolate so it forms a triangle.

5

Place the pastries onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and brush them with the beaten egg.

6

Freeze for 10-15 minutes, enough time to heat your oven to 350 degrees

Enjoy with tea, coffee, or milk!
