Cinnamon Sugar Palmiers

cinnamon sugar palmiers These cinnamon sugar Palmiers are a great treat to bring to potluck or make for dessert to end a dinner party.  They’re easy to make, they can be ready in less than half an hour, and boy are they delicious. They’re also look so cute, just look at them.

You can never go with puff pastry. I always have some in my freezer just in case I need to make a quick dessert like these Palmiers, these chocolate swirls, or some appetizers. Puff pastry never fails me.

As good as these Palmiers are, they’re very dangerous. I don’t make more than one puff pastry, which gives you about 30 Palmiers, because the boys and I will finish the entire batch in just one day. That can’t be good, that’s why I only make them once in a while.

There are a lot of methods to make cinnamon sugar Palmiers. This is my version. I hope you’ll like them!

Prep time: 10 minutes

Cook time: 12 minutes

Inactive time: 10 minutes

Makes: 30 Palmiers

Ingredients:

1 Sheet of store bought puff pastry (defrosted)
1/4 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of cinnamon

Directions:

cinnamon sugar palmiers 1 Mix together the cinnamon and sugar. cinnamon sugar palmiers 2 Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of the cinnamon sugar mixture on a clean work surface.
Place the dough over the cinnamon sugar and evenly sprinkle another 2 tablespoons of the cinnamon sugar over the dough.
Using a rolling pin, roll the sugar into the dough, and roll the dough into an even rectangle, about 1/8-inch thick. cinnamon sugar palmiers 4 Starting at the long ends, loosely roll each side inward until they meet in the middle.
Place the dough in the freezer for 10 minutes so you can cut it easily.
