If you look for a new way to eat your avocados, try this Moroccan Avocado Milkshake. It is a refreshing, easy and delicious drink you can enjoy anytime of the day, but it is certainly different from your savory and spicy guacamole.
Moroccan Avocado Milkshake is very popular in Morocco, especially during the holly month or Ramadan due to its richness. But it is also served with appetizers along with other milkshakes and smoothies at dinner parties.
The combination of milk and avocado might seem a bit odd, but it gives the shake a unique taste. However, sugar, honey or a sweetener of your choice is recommended in the shake.
We like our beverages pretty sweet in Morocco, so we tend to add quite a bit of sugar. I personally add just 1/2 teaspoon or less because I like the fresh taste of avocados. I also like to stay on the healthy side. So if I were you, I would try the milkshake without sugar or honey, and if you don’t like it, add a little bit of sweetener at the time.
I like to have this milkshake for a morning snack along with a handful of almonds. This will also be a great drink to jump start your day or to recover from a workout.
As always, I hope you’ll try it!
