Peanut Butter Banana Quesadillas

peanut butter banana quesadillas 01 I like to have peanut butter banana quesadillas as mid-morning snack or with my afternoon coffee. I especially like to have this very filling, delicious and chocolaty snack after a workout.

These quesadillas would also be a great for school lunch to replace peanut butter and jelly. You’d be the cool mom who packs chocolaty lunch for her kids. Who said you can’t have chocolate for lunch, right? 😉

I love to add cinnamon to the quesadilla. It gives it a bit of spice and helps soften up the nuttiness of peanut butter. But then, you can never go wrong with adding cinnamon to chocolate.

You can make as many peanut butter banana quesadillas as you’d like, but here are the ingredients for just one.

Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 6 minutes

Serves: 1

Ingredients:
1 corn or flour tortilla
1-2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1/2 banana sliced
2 tablespoons of semi-sweet chocolate chips
A dash of cinnamon

Directions: peanut butter banana quesadillas 1 Spread the peanut butter evenly over the tortilla. peanut butter banana quesadillas 2 Put the sliced banana over one half of the tortilla, then top it off with the chocolate chips.
I was out of chocolate chips, I cut up some really good German chocolate. peanut butter banana quesadillas 3 Dust the entire tortilla with as little or as much cinnamon as you’d like. peanut butter banana quesadillas 5 Fold the tortilla over the banana and chocolate. Heat up a skillet to medium heat and place the quesadilla on it for 2 to 3 minutes on each side until the chocolate is melted and the tortilla is browned on both sides. peanut butter banana quesadillas 6 Transfer the peanut butter banana quesadilla to a cutting board, and cut it into wedges.
